The National Skill Development Mission would not only co-ordinate skilling efforts, but also accelerate decision making across sectors to achieve skilling at scale with a fast speed and quality. This programme is driven by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). To achieve these objectives institutionals mechanisms has been divided into three tiers:-
1.) National Skill Development Agency (NSDA)
2.) National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
3.) Directorate General of Training (DGT)
Seven sub-missions have been proposed initially to act as building blocks for achieving overall objectives of the Mission.They are:
1.) Institutional Training
2.) Infrastructure
3.) Convergence
4.) Trainers
5.) Overseas Employment
6.) Sustainable Livelihoods
7.) Leveraging Public Infrastructure
